This Sunday the 16th, we're holding a planning CoffeeTalk to determine the next course of action for the Dojo 2.0, so come join us and contribute your thoughts, ideas, and promises of help. The meeting starts at 7pm UTC (11am PST). Be in the drupal-dojo IRC room early if you need help joining.
This post by Josh K will be our overview for the talk: http://groups.drupal.org/node/6914
We also need to answer these questions as a group, and decide how best to proceed:
- What is our Dojo site supposed to accomplish?
- How does this Dojo site actually work?
- Who is going to be using the site?
- Is there a precedent or an example for this?
- What are the top two levels of navigation like for the Dojo site and all of it's sub-sites?

Let's put some effort into solidifying the process for getting folks to guest-teach. There were a lot of good ideas around OCSMS on this, but we haven't really moved the ball forward too much since then. If we can get just a _little_ more organized, we'll be able to really involve a wider circle of participants, which should take the pressure off individuals who've been doing a lot of the work.
Discuss amongst yourselves...

Our CoffeeTalk this week will discuss the events at OSCMS, upcoming lessons, missing screencasts and the expansion of drupaldojo.com. If you have a topic you'd like to bring up please don't be shy!
Josh will speak, and then we will look over people's shoulders on VNC. Greggles will present a short overview of the new token module, and then we'll watch chx as he vanquishes the E_NOTICE from core.

We had an informal CoffeeTalk this week instead of a formal lesson. About 40 to 45 users in IRC, and 20 to 25 users in Skype. The audio gremlins were hard at work this week trying to make our Skype lives miserable, but we managed to smoothly transition most of the discussion into the IRC channel and maintain a semblance of order during the meeting.
It appears, after this week's trial-and-error, that IRC may be the way to hold CoffeeTalk meetings from now on. We'll still use Skype for random questions and musings, but typing all our thoughts and questions into IRC allows for an automatic logging process to take place. This saves editing time for the audio recordings, and provides a search-able and paste-able reference to what went on.
Please refer to Josh's lesson thread on g.d.o for more discussion on this week's meeting.

No lesson this week, folks - just a discussion between members of the dojo on future direction.
There's been a phenomenal amount of growth since the inception of this group, and we need to talk about possible future plans and direction as it relates to our learning curve, our documentation, and our need to expand our scope while still feeding information to the main drupal.org site. Josh is away this week, so we'll be taking the opportunity to begin what is hoped to become a regular, unstructured discussion time between members.
This "CoffeeTalk" as Josh_k dubbed it, will hopefully become a springboard for future lesson ideas as well, since we'll be learning more about each other and our current real-world projects during these discussions too.
What we need to know from the dojii is whether you'd like to have one CoffeeTalk time each week for all participants, or split it up into two separate sessions to more closely align the timezones with real life duties. Sound off in the poll!
